Warmers And Heaters In Concrete Curing

Concrete Curing Blankets Warmers & Heaters

Concrete curing during winter happens to be the toughest in all-weather condition, from a serious snowstorm to drastic change in temperature, especially at night. The weather conditions cannot be predicted during this period, and a change in temperature will affect the outcome of the concrete which might lead to flaking. For concrete curing to be successful, there is a need for a solution that can balance/maintain the temperature to ensure a successful concrete curing.

Which blanket Is Best In Cold Months?

When awarded a project especially during colder months, it is important to know which blanket to use in ensuring an appropriate curing ground thawing. ALCO concrete curing blankets offer contractors the needed heat to accelerate construction project during cold weather months, unlike conventional blankets. Using original ALCO Technology, out blankets provide a barricade of insulated warmth that holds back heat and moisture during the curing process to give higher full concrete strength in a short period of time. This technology is amazing in its features as it increases PSI levels and decreases defects which are responsible for attaining the full concrete strength in a period of time.

All-Round Weather Usage

The ALCO Electric heated blanket is designed to be used in concrete curing both in hot and cold weather. The function is to ensure that concretes are protected from drying, cracking and freezing to attain full strength. One of the features that makes it preferable in large and small project jobs is due to its lightweight portable design, this makes it easy to install and remove and can be moved from one job site to another easily. Our blankets are manufactured to free you from heaters, chemical hardeners open flames and other costly work stoppages. It encourages engineers to continue project works whenever they like without bothering about the weather. No matter how hot or freezing the weather might be, ALCO Electric curing blankets are the solution to all weather concrete curing.

FEATURES

  • Thaw sand and gravel, up to 24 frozen ground, Melt frost ice and snow from work site.
  • Prevent concrete from freezing, drying and cracking.
  • Keep crews working in all-weather condition.
  • Increases PSI and reduce cure time.
  • Maintain even & consistent heat during hydration process,
  • Deliver a standard finished product every time, on time.

What is Concrete Curing And Why Is It Important?

What is Concrete Curing?

Concrete Curing is the process of pouring concrete to the surface that is kept wet for it to help harden the cement.  If you want to take up cement project at home, there are vital points on methods of concrete curing you should take note of so as to help you plan your structure well. For concrete curing to be effective, the initial process should be treated with care, patience, and love to enable it to become strong and durable.

Why Concrete Curing is Important

  • Concrete curing limits exposure to the sun, wind and other factors to protect the surface of your cement.
  • The presence of water is to cause the chemical action needed for the cement to set.
  • The strength of your concrete increase by time if the process of curing is not altered. The commencement is rapid during the initial stages.
  • It increases the strength and reduces the shrinkage of the cement.
  • After proper concrete curing is done the structure will resist abrasion.

Prevents Structural Damage

If curing is not properly done, it can lead to structural disaster. Thermal effects will cause a crack on the surface of the structure, abrasion resistance will be reduced due to improper curing of the structure, and durability is not a guarantee as the compressive and flexural strength has been altered. Weathering and frost cannot be resisted on such concrete.
On the process of curing, keep in mind areas that are largely exposed and will cause structural damage. Chimneys, roads, and bridges are prone to cracks and they should be taken into serious consideration during a concrete curing process.

Various methods are used in the curing of cement but all methods have two similarities In common, temperature and Water loss prevention are common in all methods of curing. Concrete curing blankets are a common method to maintain ideal conditions. The temperature should be maintained at a minimum rate to stop degeneracy of heat and hydration. Common curing methods used in today’s construction work include water ponding, enclosing the surface with waterproof polyethylene sheet to keep it in place, sporadic spraying of water and curing compound application.

Testimonials

"Ordered two custom covers from Alco for a pair of fire columns. Both are a perfect fit. I'm especially impressed by the quality of fabric and construction. They even have convenient tabs on the side that help with putting them on and taking them off. First class customer service too!" - George Pytlik

"I ordered a custom cover by providing a drawing and Alco provided an accurate, excellent cover. I was unsure of the unseen, (by me), HD material, but it turned out great. I was impressed enough to immediately order a second custom cover for another application. Custom covers fit, look, and perform so much better than generic covers. To me, Alco covers are worth their price and are a true value.." - Ron Fasola

"The cover fit perfectly and seems to be of good quality. Alcocovers did a fantastic job. I would certainly recommend using them for any of your cover needs.." - Charles Smith
